WELD 100 is a cleaner designed to perform non-destructive surface penetration tests on the weld.
The research uses the phenomenon of capillarity, which consists in the penetration of the liquid into narrow spaces - crevices, and then rising. This type of research is widely used, inexpensive and very effective.
Directions for use:
The test surface should be prepared in the following order:
- clean the surface, degrease it with WELD 100
- dry the test piece
- apply WELD 200 red penetrant and leave for about 2 minutes
- remove excess red penetrant
- apply WELD 300 developer
- it should be observed whether there are any visible discoloration on the tested joint
- if there are discoloration, it means that the tested joint is defective
