Description

⚡ SPARTUS XPro MIG 260 Dual Pulse welding machine – package

SPARTUS XPro MIG 260 Dual Pulse is a single-phase inverter welding machine powered by 230 V. The machine supports MIG/MAG, Lift TIG and MMA processes, providing a maximum welding current of 250 A for MIG/MAG and TIG and 220 A for MMA.

Pulse and Dual Pulse modes, synergic programmes, a 4-roll wire feeder and support for welding wire spools weighing up to 15 kg make it suitable for workshop, assembly, servicing and on-site work. The machine is designed, among other applications, for welding unalloyed steel, stainless steel and aluminium, working with self-shielded flux-cored welding wire and MIG brazing with CuSi alloy.

✅ MIG/MAG, Pulse and Dual Pulse welding

SPARTUS XPro MIG 260 Dual Pulse enables MIG/MAG welding in manual mode or with synergic programmes. The programmes automatically select settings according to the chosen material, wire diameter and shielding gas, while allowing the operator to adjust parameters manually.

Pulse mode helps control the energy transferred to the material, stabilise the arc, reduce spatter and control the weld pool more precisely. Dual Pulse mode additionally makes it possible to produce a regular weld bead surface pattern. These functions are particularly useful when welding aluminium and stainless steel where limiting material overheating, controlling distortion and achieving an aesthetically pleasing weld are important.

Adjustment of pulse parameters, pulse frequency and base current allows the process characteristics to be adapted to the material and the requirements of the joint being made.

✅ MIG/MAG welding cycle control

The machine offers 2T, 4T, S2T, S4T and SPOT torch operating modes. S2T and S4T modes allow control over the start and end of the process, including arc ignition, start and end parameters and weld crater filling. SPOT mode is used to make repeatable spot welds with a controlled welding time.

  • Inductance adjustment – allows the arc characteristics to be modified.
  • Pre-gas and Post-gas – adjustment of gas flow before and after welding.
  • Soft Start and Slow Feed – controlled start-up and initial wire feed.
  • Burnback time – controls the end of wire feeding.
  • Gas test and wire test – facilitate preparation of the workstation before welding.
  • Polarity reversal – enables the machine to be adapted to the wire and process used.

✅ Synergic programmes

The synergic programmes include settings for unalloyed steel, stainless steel, aluminium, self-shielded flux-cored welding wire and MIG brazing using CuSi alloy. Available configurations depend on the material, process, shielding gas and wire diameter.

Material Process, shielding gas and wire diameter
Unalloyed steel MIG DC, CO2, 0,8–1,0 mm
Unalloyed steel MIG DC, 25% CO2, 0,8–1,0 mm
Self-shielded flux-cored welding wire MIG DC, without shielding gas, 0,8–1,0 mm
Unalloyed steel Pulse / Dual Pulse, 80% Ar + 20% CO2, 0,8–1,0 mm
Stainless steel Pulse / Dual Pulse, 80% Ar + 20% CO2, 0,8–1,0 mm
Stainless steel Pulse / Dual Pulse, 97,5% Ar + 2,5% CO2, 0,8–1,0 mm
CuSi Pulse / Dual Pulse, 100% Ar, 0,8–1,0 mm
AlSi Pulse / Dual Pulse, 100% Ar, 1,0–1,2 mm
AlMg Pulse / Dual Pulse, 100% Ar, 1,0–1,2 mm

✅ Built-in 4-roll wire feeder

The built-in 4-roll wire feeder ensures smooth and stable wire feeding, including when working with longer torches and wires that require precise feeding. The wire feeder compartment has internal lighting and a viewing window to facilitate inspection of the spool, wire path and roller settings. Space is also provided for spare rollers.

The machine is compatible with a Spool Gun torch, which facilitates the feeding of soft aluminium wires.

✅ Lift TIG Pulse

Lift TIG mode enables DC TIG welding with contact arc ignition, without using HF high frequency. The Lift TIG Pulse function supports pulsed operation and adjustment of pulse frequency and width. This makes it possible to control the amount of heat transferred to the material and the weld characteristics, especially when working with thin components.

The machine supports TIG torches with a valve, as well as TIG torches with controls in the handle and a EURO connection. With a torch featuring controls, 2T, 4T and 8T modes are available. 8T mode enables control of a multi-stage welding cycle without having to hold down the torch button continuously.

✅ MMA Pulse and arc characteristic control

The MMA Pulse process is complemented by Hot Start, Arc Force and VRD functions. Hot Start facilitates electrode ignition, Arc Force helps stabilise the arc, while VRD reduces the open-circuit voltage.

  • MMA Constant Current – maintains a stable welding current regardless of changes in arc length.
  • MMA Constant Power – dynamically adjusts output current and voltage to maintain constant welding power.

✅ PFC, settings memory and cooling

The PFC system improves energy utilisation and operating stability, reduces the load on the mains supply and increases resistance to voltage fluctuations. This solution supports operation with a less stable power supply, long extension leads and a generator.

The machine offers 20 memory channels for saving custom parameter configurations and quickly recalling settings during repetitive tasks.

The Fan Stop system starts the fan only when cooling is required. This reduces noise and the intake of contaminants into the machine.

✅ Control panel and mobile design

The control panel with LCD display provides access to process, material and wire diameter selection as well as additional settings. During welding, the screen shows the most important operating parameters.

The compact housing facilitates transport between workstations. The machine can stand on stable feet, while the included castors make it possible to prepare a mobile workshop configuration.

The 3 m welding torch, welding return lead and power cable increase the working range. The 3 m gas hose terminates in a quick-release coupling.
