STANDARD EQUIPMENT
- Sherman DIGITIG 214 CLEAN welding machine
- T-17/4m welding torch
- Cleaning holder
- Electrode cable
- Ground cable
Sherman DIGITIG 214 CLEAN is used for manual welding of structural steel with coated electrodes (MMA method) and quality steels, copper and its alloys with a non-consumable electrode in an inert gas shield (TIG method) .
The welder has the ability to weld with a pulse and fully adjust its parameters. It also allows for the so-called cold TIG welding (cold welding), enabling the bonding of thin elements thanks to very low heat emission in the joining zone.
The device has the function of electrochemical cleaning of stainless steel welds by removing oxidized weld layers and discoloration. This eliminates the need to etch and polish the welds.
The welder is equipped with Arc Force, Hot Start and VRD functions, has 2T/4T control and settings memory
It is widely used in both production and service work. The device is characterized by excellent welding properties, recommended especially for home and professional users.

PROTECTION DEGREE
IP determines the extent to which the device is resistant to the penetration of solid and water contaminants. IP23S means that the device is suitable for operation indoors and outdoors.
DUTY CYCLE
The duty cycle is based on a 10-minute period. A 60% duty cycle means that after 6 minutes of operation, a 4-minute break is required. A duty cycle of 100% means that the device can work continuously, without interruption.
OVERHEAT PROTECTION
The power source is equipped with a thermal, automatic overload switch. When the temperature of the welding machineis too high, the protection will disconnect the welding current and the overheating LED will light up. After the temperature drops, the switch will automatically reset.
MMA
A method that uses a coated electrode, consisting of a metal core covered with a coating. The welder feeds the electrode as it melts into the workpiece to maintain a constant arc length.
ARC FORCE
Increase or decrease the length of the welding arc depending on the distance of the electrode from the material being welded. Allows you to adjust the dynamics of the welding arc. The shortening of the arc length is accompanied by an increase in the welding current, which stabilizes the arc.
HOT START
The function is intended to prevent the electrode from sticking to the material and is a great help when igniting the arc. It works when the arc is ignited, causing a momentary increase in the welding current above the value set by the welder.
VRD
The correct voltage value is restored only just before the arc is struck. This minimizes the risk of electric shock, but in some cases may make it difficult to strike the arc.
HF - CONTACTLESS ARC STARTING
The device is equipped with an ionizer enabling contactless arc ignition.
2T / 4T OPERATION MODE
2T - pressing the button in the handle turns on the ionizer and ignites the arc. Welding is carried out with the button pressed.
4T - pressing the button in the handle will turn on the ionizer and ignite the arc, then release the button and weld with the button released. Pressing the button again will end welding
TIG DC HF
In order to completely eliminate the possibility of contamination of the weld with tungsten, it is recommended that the electrode does not touch the welded element; For this purpose, contactless arc ignition is used using high-frequency discharges generated by the ionizer built into the device.
INITIAL CURRENT
The current that appears in the circuit when the button in the handle of the handle is pressed. The higher the starting current, the easier it is to strike the arc.
However, when welding thin sheets, too high an initial current value may lead to the sheet being scorched. In some welding modes, the current does not increase to heat the workpiece.
CURRENT RISE TIME
The rise time of the welding current from the initial current to the set welding current value.
CURRENT DROP TIME
Time for the welding current to fall from the set value to zero or the crater current value.
GAS PRE-FLOW TIME
The time from pressing the button on the handle and opening the gas valve until the arc is ignited. Typically, it should be longer than 0.5 s to supply shielding gas to the torch nozzle outlet to shield the welding start point and the tungsten electrode.
GAS FLOW TIME
Time from arc extinction to closing of the gas valve. to shield the solidifying weld pool from air and to cool the tungsten electrode. Too short a post-flow time may result in oxidation of the weld.
TIG PULSE
The function affects the shape of the weld and the focus of the arc. Pulse welding also allows you to reduce the amount of heat supplied to the material and is used when welding thin materials.
COLD TIG
Spot type of TIG welding – the so-called cold welding enabling the joining of thin elements thanks to very low heat emission in the joining zone. It involves cyclical short-term ignition and extinction of the arc.
PULSE WIDTH
Pulse duration, allowsto adjust the depth of penetration. Increasing the width increases the depth of fusion, reducing it reduces the amount of heat introduced into the material, reducing the risk of burning through thinner sheets or smaller elements.
EASY TO USE, CLEAR CONTROL PANEL:
The easy-to-use control panel allows precise and smooth parameter adjustment. The digital display indicates the actual current during welding.
STRONG AND SOLID CONSTRUCTION
The device casing is made of light and durable composites, resistant to all types of mechanical damage.
EASY TRANSPORT
The welding machine is equipped with a transport handle ensuring convenience when changing workplaces.
COOLING
The device has a fan cooling system, which significantly increases its efficiency.
