Sherman MIG 180FL Welder

Sherman MIG 180FL semi-automatic welding machine is used for manual welding of steel and non-ferrous metals.

It allows welding methods:

• MIG / MAG - gas shielded welding wire,
• MMA (coated electrode) - DC coated electrode
• FLUX welding wire without shielding gas,

By changing the polarity, the device allows welding using both standard shielded wires and self-shielding powder wires.

The welder is made in IGBT inverter technology, which allowed for a significant reduction in its weight and dimensions.

The device is used in closed or roofed rooms, not exposed to direct weather conditions. It is intended mainly for amateur and light casual work.

The welding machine is equipped with an integrated MIG welding gun, electrode cable and ground cable with a clamp.

IGBT TECHNOLOGY

Modern technology based on bipolar transistors with an insulated gate. It combines the ease of control of field effect transistors with high breakdown voltage and switching speed of bipolar transistors. The use of IGBT technology has a significant impact on extending the reliable operation of welding equipment.

OVERHEAT PROTECTION

The power source is equipped with a thermal automatic overload switch. If the welder's temperature is too high, the protection disconnects the welding current and the overheating LED lights up. After the temperature drops, the circuit breaker will reset automatically.

WORK CYCLE

The work cycle is based on a 10-minute period. A 60% duty cycle means that a 4-minute break is required after 6 minutes of operation. A 100% duty cycle means that the device can work continuously without interruptions.

COOLING

The device has a fan cooling system which significantly increases its efficiency.

POLAR CHANGE - GASELESS WELDING

Due to the changing polarity, it is possible to weld by the FLUX method with powder wire without shielding gas. The wire is filled with flux that produces protective gases during welding.
