SHERMAN DIGITIG 200 DC MULTIPRO

The DIGITIG 200DC MULTIPRO device is used for welding:

  • manual direct current of structural steels: with coated electrodes (MMA method) and quality steels and non-ferrous metals
  • non-consumable electrode in an inert gas shield (TIG method).

In the design and construction of the device, the latest achievements in the field of PWM (pulse width modulation) and IGBT modules (bipolar transistors with an insulated gate) were used, thanks to which the welder is characterized by small dimensions and low weight.

During MMA welding, the ARC FORCE function is available. During TIG welding, it is possible to adjust the upslope and downslope of the current, gas pre-flow and post-flow, and pulse parameters. The device has a memory of 10 sets of parameter settings for the TIG HF and MMA methods.

It is widely used both in production and service works. The device is characterized by excellent welding properties, recommended especially for home and professional users.

IGBT TECHNOLOGY

The basis for the construction of the electric energy conversion system of the welding machine are electronic systems made in the IGBT technology, enabling operation in the frequency range above 200 kHz.

LEVEL OF SECURITY

The IP defines the degree to which the device is resistant to solid and water contamination entering the device. IP23 means that the device is suitable for indoor use

closed and not suitable for use in the rain.

WORK CYCLE

The duty cycle is based on a 10-minute period. 60% duty cycle means that after 6 minutes of operation, a 4-minute break is required. Duty cycle of 100% means that the device can work continuously without interruption.

MMA

A covered electrode method consisting of a metal core covered with a sheath. The welder feeds the electrode as it fuses to the workpiece so as to keep the arc of a constant length.

HF - NON-CONTACT ARC IGNITION

The device is equipped with an ionizer enabling contactless ignition of the arc.

2T / 4T OPERATING MODE

  • 2T - pressing the button in the handle of the handle turns on the ionizer and ignites the arc. Welding is carried out with the button pressed.
  • 4T - pressing the button in the handle of the handle will turn on the ionizer and ignition of the arc, then release the button and start welding with the released button. Pressing the button again will stop welding

INITIAL CURRENT

The current that appears in the circuit after pressing the button in the handle of the handle. The higher the starting current, the easier it is to strike the arc. However, when welding thin sheets, too high a starting current can lead to burnout.

DOWNTIME

Time for the downslope of the welding current from the set value to zero or the value of the crater current.

RISE TIME

Time in which the welding current rises from the starting current to the set welding current value.

TIG PULSE

The function affects the weld shape and arc focus. Pulse welding also allows you to reduce the amount of heat supplied to the material and is used when welding thin materials.

EASY TO USE, CLEAR CONTROL PANEL:

The easy-to-use control panel enables precise and smooth adjustment of parameters. The digital display shows the actual current during welding.

GAS PRE-FLOW TIME

The time from pressing the button in the handle of the handle to the moment the arc is struck. Typically it should be longer than 0.5 s to deliver the shielding gas to the exit of the torch nozzle. to cover the starting point of welding and the tungsten electrode.

GAS FLOW TIME

The time from the extinction of the arc to the closing of the gas valve. to shield the solidifying weld pool from air and to cool the tungsten electrode. Too short a post-flow time may result in oxidation of the weld.

CRATER CURRENT

Current used in some welding modes when the arc is not quenched immediately after the welding current downslope. It allows you to fill the crater and the end of the weld.

PULSE WIDTH

Duration of the pulse allows you to adjust the depth of penetration. Increasing the width increases the penetration depth, reducing the amount of heat introduced into the material, reducing the risk of burning through thinner sheets or smaller components.

Lower pulse width values should be used for higher currents. A larger pulse width should be used for small currents, for example a width greater than 50% should be used for currents below 100A.

PULSE FREQUENCY

The frequency with which the current pulse value changes between the welding current and the base current. The adjustment range is 0.5 - 999Hz, the standard recommended setting is 200Hz.

STRONG AND ROBUST CONSTRUCTION

The housing of the device is made of light and durable composites, resistant to all kinds of mechanical damage.

COOLING

The device has a fan cooling system, which significantly increases its efficiency.

PROTECTION AGAINST OVERHEATING

The power source is equipped with a thermal automatic overload switch. When the temperature of the welding machine is too high, the protection disconnects the welding current and the overheating diode lights up. After the temperature has dropped, the switch will reset automatically.

EASY TRANSPORT

Small dimensions and light structure make the device easy to take to any workplace. The devices are equipped with a strong handle that makes it easy to carry.
