The digital welder DIGITIG 212 COLD is the latest generation device, designed for professional use. It is made in IGBT technology and equipped with digital control.
It is used for manual TIG welding of steel and non-ferrous metals. The device is equipped with the option of MMA welding (coated electrode).
The device enables full digital regulation and control of the welding parameters of the arc characteristics.
It is equipped with a cold welding function that enables the bonding of thin elements, thanks to a very low heat emission in the joining zone.
In addition, it has HF ignition, HOT START and ARC FORCE functions, 2T / 4T switch and welding current display.
It is widely used both in production and service works. The device is characterized by excellent welding properties, recommended especially for home and professional users.

IGBT TECHNOLOGY
The basis for the construction of the electric energy conversion system of the welding machine are electronic systems made in the IGBT technology, enabling operation in the frequency range above 200 kHz.
LEVEL OF SECURITY
The IP defines the extent to which the device is resistant to solid and water contamination entering the device. IP23S means that the device is adapted to work indoors and outdoors.
WORK CYCLE
The duty cycle is based on a 10-minute period. 60% duty cycle means that after 6 minutes of operation, a 4-minute break is required. Duty cycle of 100% means that the device can work continuously without interruption.
PROTECTION AGAINST OVERHEATING
The power source is equipped with a thermal automatic overload switch. When the temperature of the welding machine is too high, the protection disconnects the welding current and the diode indicating overheating lights up. After the temperature has dropped, the switch will reset automatically.
MMA
A covered electrode method consisting of a metal core covered with a sheath. The welder feeds the electrode as it fuses to the workpiece so as to maintain the arc of a constant length.
ARC FORCE
Increasing or decreasing the length of the welding arc depending on the distance between the electrode and the material to be welded. It allows you to adjust the dynamics of the welding arc. Shortening the arc length is accompanied by an increase in the welding current, which stabilizes the arc.
HOT START
The purpose of this function is to prevent the electrode from sticking to the material and is a great help when striking the arc. It works when the arc is struck, causing the welding current to temporarily increase above the value set by the welder.
HF - NON-CONTACT ARC IGNITION
The device is equipped with an ionizer enabling contactless ignition of the arc.
2T / 4T OPERATING MODE
2T - pressing the button in the handle of the handle turns on the ionizer and ignites the arc. Welding is carried out with the button pressed.
4T - pressing the button in the handle of the handle will turn on the ionizer and ignition of the arc, then release the button and start welding with the released button. Pressing the button again will stop welding.
TIG DC HF
In order to completely eliminate the possibility of contamination of the weld with tungsten, it is recommended that the electrode does not touch the workpiece; for this purpose, contactless arc ignition is used with the use of high-frequency discharges generated by the ionizer built into the device.
INITIAL CURRENT
The current that appears in the circuit after pressing the button in the handle of the handle. The higher the starting current, the easier it is to strike the arc.
However, when welding thin sheets, too high a starting current can lead to burnout. In some welding modes, the current does not rise to heat the workpiece.
DOWN TIME
Time for the downslope of the welding current from the set value to zero or the value of the crater current.
GAS FLOW TIME
The time from the extinction of the arc to the closing of the gas valve. to shield the solidifying weld pool from air and to cool the tungsten electrode. Too short a post-flow time may result in oxidation of the weld.
COLD TIG
Spot type of TIG welding - the so-called cold welding that enables the bonding of thin elements due to very low heat emission in the joining zone. It consists in cyclic short-term ignition and extinction of the arc.
- SPOT Pressing the switch in the handle of the handle will turn on the ionizer, ignite the arc for the time set by the COLD TIME parameter and extinguish the arc. Re-igniting the arc requires releasing and pressing the button in the handle.
- CPOT Welding is carried out in a continuous mode, pressing the button in the handle grip will start the cyclic ignition and extinction of the arc, releasing the button will end the welding. The arc ignition time is regulated by the COLD TIME parameter, the extinguishing time by the COLD PAUSE parameter.
COLD TIME 0.01 - 2 s.
Welding time for spot welding (cold welding).
PAUSE TIME 0.2 - 5 s
Pause time during spot welding (cold welding). For CPOT control mode only.
EASY TO USE, CLEAR CONTROL PANEL:
The easy-to-use control panel enables precise and smooth adjustment of parameters. The digital display shows the actual current during welding. The semi-automatic welding machine has a menu that facilitates operation and allows you to choose the type of material to be welded.
STRONG AND RELIABLE CONSTRUCTION
The housing of the device is made of light and durable composites, resistant to all kinds of mechanical damage.
EASY TRANSPORT
Equipping the welder with a transport handle for convenience when changing jobs.
COOLING
The device has a fan cooling system, which significantly increases its efficiency.
