Description

⚡ ARMACK LC60 solder S-Sn60Pb40 1 pc.
In 400 mm triangular sticks

ARMACK AMASAN LC60 is a professional tin-lead solder for soft soldering, made from S-Sn60Pb40 alloy containing approximately 60% tin and 40% lead. The product is supplied as distinctive triangular sticks measuring 400 mm in length.

LC60 alloy is characterised by a low melting temperature range of 183–190°C, good fluidity and easy flow during soldering. It is therefore valued for roofing, sheet-metal, workshop and restoration work, as well as selected industrial applications.

✅ Key benefits of ARMACK LC60 solder

  • 60% tin content – S-Sn60Pb40 alloy provides very good soldering properties.
  • Low melting range of 183–190°C – enables efficient joint-making by soft soldering.
  • Good solder fluidity – makes it easier to spread the solder evenly at the joint.
  • Triangular stick profile – prevents the solder from rolling off the table or work area.
  • Convenient dosing when working with a soldering iron, roofing soldering iron or soldering pot.
  • Smooth and pliable joints with an attractive surface.
  • 400 mm stick length – a convenient format for stationary and workshop work.
  • Wide application in roofing, sheet-metal work, restoration, refrigeration and metalworking.

✅ Ideal for soldering zinc and galvanised sheet metal

LC60 solder is widely used in building sheet-metal work and roofing. It can be used for soldering zinc and galvanised steel sheet, including during the production and repair of sheet-metal flashings.

For soldering zinc and galvanised surfaces, the manufacturer recommends using a suitable flux, e.g. ARMACK ZWN, ZWS or ZW-witt liquid.

✅ Applications

ARMACK AMASAN LC60 can be used, among other things, for:

  • soldering zinc,
  • soldering galvanised sheet metal,
  • roofing and sheet-metal work,
  • tinning metal surfaces,
  • repairing copper and brass radiators,
  • metalworking,
  • stained-glass and artistic work,
  • restoring metal components,
  • tinning wire and cable ends in applications where lead-containing solder is permitted,
  • dip soldering and work in soldering pots.

✅ Stick with a triangular profile

The distinctive triangular cross-section is not accidental. This shape reduces the tendency of the stick to roll off the work surface and makes it easier to place securely during work.

The profile also makes it convenient to pick up and dose the material with a heated soldering tip, which is particularly practical for sheet-metal, roofing and workshop work.

✅ Low melting temperature of 183–190°C

LC60 alloy starts melting at approximately 183°C, with the complete transition to a liquid state occurring at approximately 190°C. The narrow melting temperature range makes the soldering process easy to control and reduces the need to heat the components being worked on excessively.

✅ Recommended fluxes

LC60 solder in sticks does not have an internal flux core; therefore, a flux suitable for the material being soldered must be used.

  • ARMACK ZWN – for zinc and galvanised sheet metal,
  • ARMACK ZWS – for demanding soldering work,
  • ARMACK ZW-witt – for suitable roofing applications,
  • ARMACK soft-soldering grease – for workshop and sheet-metal work,
  • ARMACK CWK – for copper surfaces.
