ESAB Savage A41 Air is an automatic welding helmet designed for use with the PAPR powered-air system. It features a digitally controlled ADF auto-darkening filter, True Color technology, four arc sensors and an external button for quickly switching to grinding mode.

The Air model retains the compact and durable design of the Savage series, while also featuring an air supply system that delivers air inside the helmet. The 100 × 50 mm viewing area and digital adjustment of shade, sensitivity and delay allow the filter to be adapted to various welding processes.

✅ Digital ADF filter with True Color technology

The Savage A41 Air features an automatic welding filter with a 100 × 50 mm viewing area. Four optical sensors detect the arc and quickly switch the filter from the light state to the selected shade level.

The digital control panel enables shade selection within the DIN 8–13 range, as well as sensitivity and delay adjustment. Each of these two parameters has 6 adjustment levels, allowing the filter operation to be adapted, among other things, to MIG/MAG, MMA and TIG welding.

True Color technology provides more natural colour reproduction and a clearer view of the welded component compared with traditional filters with a strong green tint.

✅ Quick grinding mode

The external Grind button switches the filter to grinding mode without removing the helmet. In this setting, the ADF is locked at DIN 4, allowing you to move efficiently from welding to weld processing and finishing.

✅ Designed for the PAPR system

The Savage A41 Air version features an air supply system and is prepared for use with the ESAB EPR-X1.1 PAPR powered-air filtration system. Air is directed from the upper part of the headgear into the helmet, providing an even flow in the breathing zone.

When connected to a compatible PAPR system, the manufacturer specifies the level of protection against solid particles as TH3. The EPR-X1.1 system also allows the use of an optional A1B1E1 gas filter.

✅ Replaceable battery and solar assistance

The ADF filter is powered by a replaceable CR2450 lithium battery, additionally supported by a solar cell. This solution allows the power source to be easily replaced when depleted.
