The Rebel 215 has a big brother. The Rebel EMP 235ic is the most mobile welding machine in its class, offering the power and performance to meet even the greatest challenges.

The ability to handle multiple processes in combination with the low weight of the device, as well as its compact size make the Rebel 235i truly versatile.

Intuitive and simple setting of welding parameters makes the device suitable for practically every user, while maintaining the highest quality of welding works performed in the workshop and in the field.

There are supposed to be a lot of multi-function machines.

In fact, they are all slightly more complex MIG / MAG devices. The Rebel is a real device that supports many methods - MIG / MAG, FCAW, MMA coated electrode, and even hard-to-weld 6010 cellulose electrodes or Lift TIG - Rebel will handle it as if it was created only for a given welding method.

Whether in the factory, in the field or in the workshop, you need a device that is easy to move and can withstand multiple impacts. This is what Rebel is like. Thanks to its durable housing with installed rollers, multiple handles, uniform steel construction and IP23S protection class, you can take it with you wherever you go.

The unique sMIG (smartMIG) technology in Rebel devices is sure to impress anyone, whether it has been welding for two or 20 years.

Novices can use the Basic Mode for easy set-up. For veterans, built-in arc control constantly monitors the weld to ensure a perfect result every time.

The technology we call sMIG (smartMIG) produces less spatter, minimizes welding defects and adapts to the welder's technique to ensure a smooth, stable arc and weld shape with consistent quality.

Just set the wire diameter and sheet thickness and you are ready to weld. Whatever your skill level is, setup is quick and easy in both Basic Mode for beginners and Advanced Mode for experienced welders.

All variants of ESAB's Multifunction Devices (EMP) are equipped with a 4.3-inch TFT color display.

The panel can display information in 22 different languages, making it easier to select processes and set parameters, regardless of the user's nationality. The panel also includes:

  • lists of spare and consumable parts and a view of the wire feed mechanism and MIG / MAG gun,
  • welding parameters guidelines for all processes,
  • maintenance recommendations.

Dual gas inlet valves allow the connection of two different gases which can be connected simultaneously (or individually).

In the case of MIG / MAG welding, you can connect CO2 or Ar / CO2 mixture, while for TIG DC welding we use pure Ar and thus we can use welding torches with a button in the handle TIG torches.

When this function is activated, the wire feed speed is reduced when welding starts and at the same time the shielding gas valve is unlocked. When the wire comes into contact with the workpiece, the wire feed speed is increased to the preset value. This ensures a spatter-free stable arc ignition.

Weighing just 28.6 kg, the Rebel EMP 235ic is the lightest in its class. Thanks to four practical handles and the ability to disconnect the power source from the trolley, the user is able to tackle any task anywhere with a dual supply voltage of 90 V to 270 V available.

The Rebel EMP 235ic comes with a starter kit and is suitable for any application requiring welding wires with a diameter of 0.6 to 1.0 mm.

A machine with a maximum output parameters of 250 A / 30 V and a rated current of 230 A in a 25% duty cycle, connected to a network protected by a 16 A fuse, is able to cope with the most demanding tasks, where only a single-phase current source is available.

The Rebel EMP 235ic is three machines in one MIG / MAG, MMA. Rebel EMP 235ic is applicable for a wide range of thicknesses of the welded material: when using a short-circuit arc, using wire with a diameter of 1.0 mm, when using cored and solid wires for other methods - using a diameter of up to 1.2 mm.

The Rebel EMP 235ic can be used for MMA welding up to 4.0 mm in diameter and TIG electrode welding up to 3.2 mm in diameter.
