Description
Thick-coated electrode for manual cutting and gouging with an electric arc of carbon steels, alloy steels, cast iron and non-ferrous metals in all positions.
To start the cutting or gouging process, hold the electrode in contact with the workpiece for approximately 2 ÷ 3 s, after which the arc ignites automatically.
Cutting technique
After the arc has been struck, tilt the electrode 15 ÷ 30º from the vertical in the direction opposite to the cutting direction, and make quick, jerky movements with the tip of the electrode in contact with the workpiece being cut.
Gouging technique
After the arc has been struck, incline the electrode at an angle of 15 ÷ 30º to the workpiece in the direction opposite to the gouging direction and move it quickly, maintaining continuous contact between the electrode and the workpiece.
