Description
⚡ ARMACK L-CuP6 Copper-Phosphorus Brazing Filler Metal 3 × 3 × 500 mm
ARMACK L-CuP6 is a copper-phosphorus brazing filler metal in the form of a square rod with a 3 × 3 mm cross-section and a length of 500 mm. The product is intended for brazing copper to copper without the use of flux.
The alloy contains 94% copper and 6% phosphorus, which is why it is also referred to as brazing filler metal 94. The melting temperature range is 710–880°C, and the working temperature is 760°C.
✅ Key features
- copper-phosphorus alloy for brazing,
- designation according to ISO 17672: CuP 179,
- DIN EN 1044 designation: CP203 – L-CuP6,
- alloy composition: 94% copper and 6% phosphorus,
- brazing copper to copper without the use of flux,
- square rod form,
- joint temperature resistance up to 150°C without loss of strength,
- contains no iron or nickel.
✅ Applications
The brazing filler metal is intended for making copper joints used in hot and cold water systems and central heating systems. It can also be used for brazing copper downpipes in copper guttering systems.
As it contains no iron or nickel, the product is also used in the electrical engineering industry.
✅ Brazing guidelines
Flux is not required when brazing copper to copper. When joining copper to brass or tin-zinc bronze, ARMACK HS brazing paste must be used.
The product must not be used for brazing steel.
