Description

⚡ ARMACK CuP6 copper-phosphorus brazing alloy 2×2 mm

ARMACK AMASAN CuP6 is a professional copper-phosphorus brazing alloy intended primarily for making permanent joints in copper components. The alloy corresponds to designation CuP 179 according to ISO 17672 and L-CuP6, and contains approximately 94% copper and 6% phosphorus.

One of the key advantages of this alloy is the ability to braze copper to copper without additional flux. It is therefore ideal for installing and servicing copper systems, including heating, sanitary and general installation work.

✅ Key advantages of ARMACK CuP6

  • Copper-to-copper brazing without additional flux – simplifies the brazing process and reduces the amount of materials required.
  • CuP6 composition – 94% copper and 6% phosphorus – a proven alloy intended for brazing copper.
  • Working temperature of approximately 760°C – suitable for professional brazing.
  • Melting temperature range of 710–880°C.
  • Rods with a square cross-section of 2 × 2 mm – convenient material feeding when making a joint.
  • Rod length 500 mm.
  • Joint resistant to operating temperatures up to 150°C without loss of strength.
  • The alloy contains no iron or nickel.
  • The product has a Atest PZH.

✅ No flux for copper-to-copper brazing

When brazing copper components to copper components, CuP6 does not require additional flux. The phosphorus content facilitates joint formation and helps reduce the number of additional materials required during the work.

When joining copper to brass or tin-zinc bronze, a suitable brazing flux must be used.

✅ Applications

ARMACK AMASAN CuP6 is intended primarily for brazing copper components. It can be used, among other applications, for:

  • brazing copper pipes and fittings,
  • hot- and cold-water systems,
  • central-heating systems,
  • installation and servicing work,
  • brazing copper downpipes,
  • copper guttering systems,
  • selected electrical engineering applications.

✅ Why choose CuP6 brazing alloy?

ARMACK AMASAN CuP6 is a practical solution for installers and service technicians who regularly make joints in pipes and copper components. No need for flux in copper-to-copper joints speeds up the work, while the 500 mm rods with a 2 × 2 mm cross-section provide convenient material feeding during brazing.

The 1 kg pack is suitable both for the workshop and for professional installation work carried out on site.

✅ Important usage information

No additional flux is required for copper-to-copper joints. When brazing copper to brass or tin-zinc bronze, a suitable brazing flux must be used.

WARNING: the product must not be used for brazing steel.
